TrueCore Provides Many Services Across Multiple Settings

We provide treatment services that are delivered with fidelity in cognitive-behavioral, social skills training, group counseling, and individual counseling modalities to all youth. TrueCore Behavioral Solutions programs offer gender-responsive, trauma-informed interventions tailored to the target populations.

Education

At TrueCore, we realize that the quality of the services we provide is dependent on the quality of the people we hire, the training we provide them, and the appropriate tools needed to work with youth.

TrueCore has zero tolerance for sexual abuse and sexual harassment. We provide Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) audit services in more than 25 states.

Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA)

We have zero tolerance for sexual abuse and sexual harassment.
The Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) of 2003 is a federal law that seeks to eliminate sexual assaults and sexual misconduct in confinement settings. The law applies to all federal and state prisons, jails, police lockups, private facilities, juvenile facilities, and community correctional settings.
All youth in our programs and facilities have the right to be free from any form of sexual abuse or sexual harassment, as well as from any form of retaliation for making a report.

Staff Training

All staff receives extensive training on sexual abuse and sexual harassment, as well as their duty to report any knowledge, suspicion, or information regarding sexual abuse and sexual harassment.
All contractors, volunteers, and interns also are provided sexual abuse and sexual harassment training before they have contact with youth.

Investigations of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment

All allegations of sexual abuse and sexual harassment are reported to the state Child Abuse Registry, as well as to local law enforcement if the allegation is criminal in nature. Our facility staff does not investigate these allegations. These types of allegations require specially trained investigators.

Youth Education

All youth receive comprehensive education on sexual abuse and sexual harassment when they enter our program. The education includes definitions of sexual abuse and sexual harassment, as well as the multiple ways of reporting. Furthermore, the youth have access to a variety of posted information in the facility that details how to report.

Reporting

Youth who are currently being sexually harassed, abused, or assaulted are encouraged to talk to a staff member to allow for the quickest response. Each facility has a PREA Compliance Manager who can respond and ensure needed services and investigations are initiated.
Youth may report to any staff person or by requesting a call to the Abuse Registry. TrueCore Behavioral Solutions has ensured that all facilities have the Abuse Registry contact number posted.
